Why We Do It
RailRoadJunction.net encompasses a group of amateur railway enthusiast who love to watch trains and illustrate locomotives. We're learning as we go but fell in love with the world of locomotive through Virtual Railfan's many webcams showcasing various depots, railway museums, and pass-throughs across the United States. This then got us interested in train simulators like TrainSim World and its various sequels which provided some basic-to-intermediate education on the internal functions of train systems.
Learning as we go, we understand that we dont always get things right but we work fast to fix discrepancies as they appear.
Established in 2023 with the purpose of developing a complete database of diesel, electric, and diesel-electric locomotives and their basic operating details, RailRoadJunction.net today stands a growing body of work to, not only satisfy our love of everything trains, but also help to interest future generations in the subject.
